My Life is Yours (Song) - 5 of 7
NameChris Mallonee
This song "My Life is Yours" is my fifth submission for 7-in-7. This is not a song written for corporate worship, but to reflect on God and his goodness to us. Was inspired by Peter's story. How Christ served him by washing his feet. How Christ gently asked him three times if he loved him after denying him during his crucifixion. We all can relate to Peter's story. These ideas led me to a song about surrender and how God is writing a better story for us. Grace pursues us. Who are we that Christ would come and serve us, wash our feet, die for us?
In full disclosure, I've had this chorus idea from before 7-in-7, but reworked the melody. Everything else is completely new to this song.

NameTyler Daniel/ Chris Mallonee
Chris Mallonee and myself just finished Day 5 which is our 2nd cowrite together!
We had been wanting to write a song about being the church and where we kept going to was what our need is & how we need Gods help if we ever going to live out the calling He has for us. We wanted to write something simple, singable and true. We hope that its encouraging as we had a lot of fun writing it!

My first 7in7 submission is not a song, but a personal confession. I felt like I should write about how God has been reaching into the deep places of my heart and learning how to trust him. Opening up like this is not easy for me, but maybe it will bring help and encouragement to someone.

Business Cards
NameRich Hart
One of the fascinating things you see when you go to Mueller's BBQ in Taylor is the wall of business cards that people have been sticking up there for years, the older ones revealing their age by their darkened complexion from having been exposed to many years of smoke from the kitchen. So many different lines of work and business opportunities are represented, from years ago to the present day. To be sure, people go in there to eat, taking a delicious break from whatever work they do all day long. But as much as they may want to stay in there, they eventually need to return to work, especially if they want to be able to afford the chance to come back another day.
Work is good, and we were made to accomplish, create, and serve others in unique and significant ways. But whatever we do for our vocation, which we can do in a God glorifying way, there is another profound work that God calls us to, and that is to believe in Jesus. Jesus said it Himself, and it makes all the difference for whatever other tasks and opportunities you may accomplish in life. Indeed, it is what grounds any other work in eternity.
âThe work God wants you to do is this: to believe in the One that God sent.â - John⏠â6:29⏠âICBâŹâŹ

Day 3- Psalm 121
NameTyler Daniel
A simple song based on Psalm 121. I started another song today that was just about learning the art of surrender & the internal struggles we all have as we grow up. It was my hope through it to kick off a little singer songwriter stuff for the week but I just didn't have the energy to finish it. Somewhere along the way this little melody came so I went with it.

*Deep Breath and Exhale* My first real venture into songwriting!  This is something I've always wanted to do, and for some reason or another it has never quite come to be... until now!  But let's be serious, song writing is HARD, especially with kids.  Therefore, for 2 days, I have 2 verses and a chorus.  I've always wanted my songs to be honest, if I ever got around to writing one.  So this track attempts to tackle acknowledging my insufficient nature but laying it down and giving it to Christ who has redeemed me as pure.

The Baptism
NameRich Hart
Baptism is a picture of being all in, and when you are, it has an affect on those around you. Reagan's immersion into Lake Georgetown has him sharing with everyone around him a little bit of his experience when he shakes it off. I saw this picture as a metaphor for those who are all in with Jesus, immersed into His Gospel, that it becomes tangibly evident to those around them when they live it out.

NameGirls Kreider
Teaching our kids how too use their gifts, we decided time do 7 drawings or crafts for 7 days.
We told them that God made us to be able to do things, and we want to use those abilities for others. As our 4yo said, "We're doing it because we love people." "And why do we love people?" "Because God loves them!" And that's exactly what the Bible tells us in 1 John 4:19
